All I Want for Christmas is… an iPad

Gone are the days of our 6-year-olds wanting a doll or toy car for Christmas.  Topping the wish list for 6-12-year-olds this year is an iPad.  According to Nielsen, 44% of US kids ages 6-12 want Apple’s popular tablet.  The desire for Apple products doesn’t stop there.  Second is an iPod touch at 30% and third an iPhone at 27%. 

Nielsen continues, kids will also ask for gaming devices this year, with the Nintendo 3DS (25%) and the Kinect for Xbox 360 (23%) topping that list.

We’ve talked about digital kids at length on this blog and this report continues to assert the road that is being paved for our kids.  Our kids are being exposed to more tech devices, and using them for longer, at an earlier age than ever.
