Science Rocks

What does will.i.am, Miley Cyrus, Jack Black and Justin Bieber have in common?  You will never guess.  It’s not an obvious answer – like, they’re all celebrities. No – they’re all promoting science. 

Teaming up with Dean Kamen - the inventor of the Segway Human Transporter and founder of FIRST (whose mission is to is to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders, by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs) will.i.am is committing to bring the “science is cool” banner to kids across the country.  He’s brought his celebrity buddies along to unveil the FIRST Robotics Competition, a school robotics competition, which recently aired on ABC.

On the video promoting the program, will.i.am says: “I want people to love technology and the skills behind it to be celebrated as the rock stars of technology.”  Well said, will.i.am.
