If you’re anything like me, you have too many usernames and passwords to remember. I try to be diligent and write each one of them down, but sometimes I forget. At K5 we receive requests and questions about how to retrieve and change passwords every day, so I thought I’d take you through our process.
Our process for changing the password for parents and kids is different. We don’t keep your passwords and have no access to them, so you can’t recover current passwords, but you can create new ones.
Let’s first take a look at the parents.
On the login page, you’ll find a hyperlink – “Forgot password?”
Clicking on that link brings up the following page:
Enter your email address (the parent username for K5) and you’ll be sent an email with a link to change your password.
Now for your kids. You can change your children’s passwords from the parent dashboard.
Click on account management
Then on manage student accounts
Here you’ll find the link to change the student password
Enter the new password, click submit and your child will have a new password for their login.
