fall: the season when leaves change color and drop
leaves: flat green parts of a tree that fall off in autumn
tree: a tall plant with a trunk, branches, and leaves
pumpkin: a big, round, orange vegetable
apple: a red, green, or yellow fruit that grows on trees
wind: moving air you can feel on your face
rake: a tool for gathering leaves

bountiful: having plenty or a large amount
abundance: a lot of something
harvest season: the time of year when crops are gathered
orchard: a group of fruit trees (apple orchard, etc.)
foliage: the leaves on trees or plants
gratitude: being thankful or grateful
wither: to dry up or die slowly
migrate: to travel from one place to another for a better season
chilly breeze: cool moving air
celebrate: to enjoy and mark a special time
reflection: careful thought or looking back on something

Fun idea: Ask students to write a short paragraph or poem using 5–7 of these words to describe autumn.
