I like to watch “Big Picture” thinkers present their ideas. Who doesn’t? So when a friend of mine posted the following Youtube video on Facebook, I immediately clicked on the link.
This is Sir Ken Robinson, professor, author and international leader in the development of creativity, innovation and human resources, presenting his ideas on Changing the Education Paradigm. Well, having watched the video, it’s more about laying out what’s wrong with our education system.
Although, very interesting and entertaining (I liked the animation running with the commentary) it does not lay out any solutions or ideas on how we can change education for the better. Perhaps that wasn’t the intent, but I was left hanging at the end of the presentation.
What do you think? Do you agree with Sir Ken’s premises? What can we do to improve education?
Now I’m off to try find a second part to this piece. There’s got to be a continuation…
