Art.sy Brings New Level of Fine Art Learning to Everyone

We love projects that bring fine art to the Internet.  We don’t all live in big cities to have limitless access to some of the best art in the world.  So when we found Google Art Project, we wrote about its fabulous virtual tours of some of the most famous art museums.  And now, there’s Art.sy.

This site does not just reach into museums but extends over artists’ entire careers.  Art.sy is an art aggregation site powered by the Arts Genome project.  It tracks and catalogs every artist, arts organization, exhibition and performance. 

The catalogs are constantly being updated, be if for living artists who are adding new work or old artists whose work changes hands.  You can easily browse through works of art by subject matter or search for specific information by artist, specific piece, color, size, etc.  You can even choose to search for art that is on sale.

Once you’ve signed up, you can put together your own collection of favorite art that you can revisit any time.  Why not give it a try?
