Kiva & K5

Join our Kiva Group and help educate a child in a developing country

Kiva is a non-profit organization which allows people to lend money to entrepreneurs in developing countries around the world. These entrepreneurs are typically women whose children’s education depends on the success of their tiny businesses.

Kiva has funded over over $1 billion of loans in 77 different countries. Funding for the loans came from over 1.8 million individuals who made loans for as little as $25 at a time. 82% of the loans are to women, and 96% of the loans are fully repaid by the borrower.

K5’s Kiva Group

K5 Learning teams up with Kiva, the micro-loans organization.
Most parents around the world can only dream about even a basic education for their children.

We invite you to join our Kiva Group and help a hard working woman in a developing country grow her business and educate her kids.

Our first loan participation was to Narcisa, a lady who sells fruit and vegetables in her village in the Philippines. She uses the loans from Kiva to increase the inventory of her business. She used the profits from her business to send her kids to school.

There are hundreds of women like Narcisa right now on Kiva’s web site who need your help. Please visit Kiva and consider making a loan, as small as $25.
