How to Request the K5 Learning Reading and Math Assessments

We’ve had some questions recently from trial customers about our assessment process, so I thought it a good idea to write about it.  So today we start a three-part series on the K5 Learning reading and math assessments.

Part 1: how to request our reading and math assessments

When you sign up your children for our 14-day free trial, we automatically place their lessons at their grade level.  We all know, though, that our kids have different skill levels and will often be ahead in some areas and behind in others.

This is where our assessments come in.  The K5 Learning reading and math assessments are placements assessments that in a 30-40-minute test will help place your child at their skill levels across the 8 skill areas our reading and math curricula cover.  You can read more about our assessments here.

Parents that would like their kids to complete the assessments will have to contact us.  Here’s how.

First, make sure you are signed in as a parent.

Only parents have access to the parent dashboard.

In the left-hand column, you will find a link to “Assessment/Change Levels”, click on that tab.

Fill in and submit the “Request Assessment” form.

assessment request

This request goes to our customer service team, who will set up the assessments and email you once they are ready for your children.  This usually takes place within a few hours of your request.

Tomorrow, we’ll cover how to start the K5 Learning reading and math assessments.
