Assessment Reports

A summary of the assessment report is sent to parents immediately after the assessment is completed. The reports can also be retrieved through the Parent Dashboard.

To retrieve a report:

  1. On the parent dashboard click ‘View Reports’ besides your child’s name
  2. Click on ‘View Reading Assessment Report" or "View Math Assessment Report", located below the summary tables.

The assessment repor will open in a new window.

Understanding the Assessment Report
The reading assessment report (sample report) estimates a grade level equivalency for your child in phonemic awareness, phonics, sight words, comprehension and vocabulary. The math assessment report does the same but in numbers and operations, geometry and measurement. The data collected from the assessment reports is used by K5 to personalize your child’s program.

Detailed Reading and Math Reports

Parents can see detailed math and reading reports on:

- what lessons have been
   completed
- scores on quizzes
- time spent on K5 Reading
  and K5 Math lessons
- results from assignments

How do you retrieve Detailed Reports?

  1. On the parent dashboard click ‘View Reports’ besides your child’s name
  2. Click on ‘View Reading Progress Report" or "View Math Progress Report", located below the summary tables.

The detailed progress report will open in a new window.

Understanding the Detailed Reports
The progress reports show a listing of all lessons completed and scores on quizzes. Use this report to identify any lessons with low scores which you may wish to assign again to your child for additional practice.

Don't confuse lessons with lesson segments.  Remember, each K5 Reading and K5 Math lesson is broken down into segments (tutorial, practice, quiz), and our friendly crossing guard gives kids the option to stop after each segment.  Data from segments is only included in the reports after the entire lesson is completed.
